Liberte Software is privately held company based in Bracknell in the high-tech M4 corridor in Southern England. Liberte provides a complete set of Device Software Solutions for all classes of device including Telecommunications, Consumer Devices, Military/Aerospace and Instrumentation and Control.

We are seeking an experienced Linux/UNIX/RTOS operating systems engineers in Russian Federation (Moscow) who will be responsible for creating custom software solutions for our clients.

The OS engineer will:?

* Work closely with the UK software group to deliver the required low level OS drivers.?

* Porting OS Kernels, writing device drivers and optimising for performance on new hardware platforms.?

* Have knowledge of how to build board support packages.?

* Write system tests to exercise and verify reliable OS operation.??

The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of the following experience:?

* Porting Linux Kernel (preferably 2.6 series) to previously unsupported platform.?

* Low-level hardware interfaces (e.g. network interfaces Ethernet, WLAN, ATM, and USB2.0, IO buses like PCI, SDIO, and MMC and interrupt controllers).

* KGDB (kernel/driver) and GDB (application) debugging.?

* Experience working with and supporting Software Engineers using the OS for development.?

* Minimum 3 years experience Linux porting.?* Strong documentation skills.

* GNU commands, utilities and libraries.

* Knowledge of x86, PowerPC, ARM and MIPS Instruction Set Architectures.

* Solid C programming skills.

* History of working in the Linux community is a plus.

* Good written English is a must, spoken English is a plus.

* Ability to debug large code and efficient troubleshooting is required.?
