разархивировался он нормально...

естественно ни make ни make install ни к чему не привели

больше всего меня убила последняя строчка... иксы-то у меня стоят... Подскажите - что делать?

Так он не говорит, что иксы найти не может!

Он же практически на русском языке говорит, что не может найти

библиотеки и заголовки иксов!

в смысле - каких заголовков и библиотек?

их надо скачивать? если да, то где?

Какой дистрибутив?

Если rpm-based - поставьте Xfree-devel (Xorg-devel).

исходник если я не ошибаюсь.

Для моего RedHat RPM'ок нет.

а Xfree-devel (Xorg-devel) - это что такое и где его взять?

Это пакет из составва ВАШЕГО дистрибутива GNU/Linux. Он должен быть на одном из CD дистрибутива. Каким, кстати, дистрибутивом выпользуетесь?

я пользуюсь коробочным дистрибутивом RedHat 9 купленным на сайте http://linuxcenter.ru в состав входят 3 диска с софтом, 3 диска с исходниками и диск с руссификацией...

я имею в виду - т.е. если я поставлю себе Xfree это решит все проблемы? И является ли этот самый Xfree заголовками и библиотеками?

Или заголовки и бибилиотеки для X Window надо искать где-то дополнительно?

Если это так, то как определить какие именно?

но ближе к разгадке, мне кажется я от этого не стал...
