Некорректное разрешение при экране приветствия

После установки проприетарного драйвера Убунту автоматом выставил мне FullHD разрешение, хотя монитор мой явно этого не может =) в своей сессии я поставил нормальное, но при загрузке, до того как я зайду в свою сессию, монитор колбасит и он пытается подстроиться. Ввел в xorg,conf верные horizontal & vertical sync - не помогло.

1. Какой монитор: тип, марка, модель.

2. Что пронего написано в xorg.conf. Прямо здесь copy-paste'ом покажите, пожалуйста.

В Ubuntu столкнулся с такой фишкой, что если в момент запуска Х-сервера что-то не ладится, система создает "безопасный" 100% рабочий /etc/X11/xorg.conf.failsafe и дальше пользуется именно им. Поэтому, когда вы исправляете что-то в /etc/X11/xorg.conf, но не видите изменений, убедитесь, что система не создала xorg.conf.failsafe. Его надо просто удалить.

Да не помогут здесь ксорги и их конфиги - проприетарные дрова всё своё выставляють.
