конечно от рута... но! dmesg |grep usb выдает при подключении: usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 И что странно, у меня нет ни /dev/usb/ ни /dev/scanner... почитав в и-нете, думаю что это должно быть

Да как - запустил sh ....-run затем подправил xorg.conf. Только уже все, я сделал ) оказывается просто нашел исходники NVIDIA-Kernel и скомпилил их - опа, все заработало! Но за заботу спасибо )

Проблема с подключением сканера... Использую Sane, вот что она выводит: sane-find-scanner # No SCSI scanners found. Затем, как она же советует: scanimage -L No scanners were identified. Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). На сайте прораммы в списках совместимого оборудования моего сканера нет... неужели нельзя его подключить? Пож-ста, подскажите что-нить.

Скачал и установил с сайта NVidia "NVIDIA..6629-pkg1.run" Проблема: сразу после установки startx - работает все отлично! После перезагрузки Х-ы не грузятся выдают ошибку, фрагмент log: (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!
