Пересборка ядра - трабл!

Господа, не пойму чего от меня хотят. Пытаюсь пересобрать ядро, а мне на make menuconfig говорят

/usr/bin/i586-alt-linux-gcc: No such file or directory

Не пойму что не так!

Помогите плиз!

Установлен ли GCC? Какие права на папку?

В системе установленны следующие пакеты, имеющие отношение к gcc:

gcc-common

glibc-core

libgcc3.4

libstdc++3.3

libstdc++3.4

А права на какую папку?

Надеюсь ядро вы под рутом собираете?

GCC на мой взгляд у вас все же не установлен.

Под рутом. Ну а как же установить GCC? У меня ALT-линукс и там кроме gcc-common ничего нет.

apt-get install gcc

Попробуйте так. А вообще - gcc входит даже в ALT compact, значит плохо искали.

C gcc разобрался. Просто apt был неправильно настроен.

gcc установил версия 3.4.

Теперь ругается по другому, но один фиг ядро не собирается.
